Terms and Conditions for Interns and Employees

By engaging with Mantranam- mental health and Training Services, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions throughout your tenure, whether as an intern (paid or free-of-cost) or as an employee. Please read carefully before you begin.

1. Definitions

  • Intern (Free-of-Cost): Participates in training and projects without financial compensation.

  • Intern (Paid): Intern covers the cost of in-depth training modules; does not receive a stipend for work hours.

  • Employee: Hired under a formal contract with salary, benefits, and employment rights.

2. Confidentiality

All client information, personal data, and internal documents must remain strictly confidential. Any intentional or accidental breach may result in immediate termination and legal action. You must never share identifying details or case notes outside approved channels.

3. Remuneration & Expenses

Internships do not include a stipend or salary. Interns are responsible for arranging and funding their own travel, visas, accommodations, and related costs. Employees will receive compensation and benefits as specified in their individual employment contracts.

4. Respectful Environment

Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind is strictly prohibited. You must treat clients, colleagues, and third parties with courtesy, empathy, and professionalism at all times. Any violation may lead to disciplinary action or termination.

5. Performance & Progression

Conversion from intern to employee and promotions for employees depend solely on meeting predefined KPIs, passing performance reviews, and organizational needs. No guarantee of transition or promotion exists without documented evidence of competency and results. All assessments will be conducted fairly and transparently.

6. Notice Period & Termination

Interns may resign by providing one week’s written notice. Employees must serve a 30-day notice period or pay the equivalent salary in lieu of notice for early release. Breach of conduct or policy may result in immediate termination without notice or legal action.

7. Certifications & Letters

Upon successful internship completion—defined by final report submission and satisfactory performance—interns will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Letter of Recommendation. Employees who honor their notice period (or complete a buy-out) will be issued an Experience Letter.

8. Compliance, Accountability & Reporting

You must comply with all organizational policies, including data protection, confidentiality, and the code of conduct. Weekly progress updates or reports are mandatory for both interns and employees. You agree to accept and act on constructive feedback in a timely manner.

9. Training & Development

Interns must attend all scheduled orientations, workshops, and training sessions as part of their program. Employees are encouraged to undertake continuous professional development opportunities offered by the organization. Participation and engagement in learning activities will factor into performance evaluations.

10. Exit Procedures

Interns must submit a final report, complete task handovers, and return any organizational property before their last day. Employees are required to complete a handover checklist, obtain clearance signatures, and either serve their notice period or process a buy-out. Only after these steps will final documentation be released.

By continuing with your role at Mantranam- mental health and training services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions in full.
